課程概述 |
This course offers students the ability to understand a broad range of materials and their properties as they pertain to civil engineering construction and structural design. Students also gain the aptitude to perform concrete mix design, the measurement of mechanical and physical properties of materials, and an appreciation of the impacts of construction materials on the environment.

課程目標 |
1. To have correct concepts of mechanical, physical, and time-dependent properties of civil engineering construction materials (concrete, steel, wood, (polymer and composites)), enabling appropriate selection of materials for construction projects.
2. Students will acquire the ability to design Portland cement concretes to meet certain design requirements.
3. To understand the composition, manufacturing, microstructure, and mechanical and physical properties for each material.
4. Enable students to gain perspectives in the impacts of construction materials on environmental sustainability. |
